Children’s Art Week 2: Family Trees

This year we’re joining in with national children’s art week with a series of super fun art clubs for you to get involved in!

Week 2 of #artist fun we’ll see us painting, cutting, crafting and creating the most beautiful HUGE frame boxes complete with your own unique family tree.
The lucky artists who get a spot on this weeks art club will be shown how to paint, collage and layer lots of lovely scrap book bits and bobs to create your own trees.
We’ll be giving you some research leading up to your making to where you’ll need to write down the names and details of all your favourite family and friends you’d like to include on your tree.
here’s how it’ll work-
– Check out our events (there’ll be lots popping up!)
– Register for any event you like the sound of! Just send us a message, comment on the event, give us an email or call us to register your interest. We do expect our art club events to be popular therefore sadly not everyone who registers will be given a place, we’ll try to make it as fair as possible to get as many of our #youngcarers creating.
– We’ll then contact all the successful registrations to explain collection points or drop off for anyone shielding.
– We’re only a small team of 3 so we’d really appreciate as many participants as possible to collect their packs from us where they can. Collection for packs for this event will Be scheduled to take place on Thursday 2nd July 2020 Temple Park car park between 11am-12pm
– Once you’ve got your pack keep it safe until the event date when we’ll release a ‘how to video’ that explains what you need to do and how to do it.
– We’ll keep the event running all week so you can just check in anytime through the week from 6th-12th July to watch the how to video and take part, we hope this helps anyone who’s back to school to take part too!
*Please note this event is open to all registered young carers in South Tyneside only and is not open to the general public.*
