After School Club (Age 5 – End of Year 2)

Our Tuesday after school groups are a chance for our youngest young carers to have some fun and make new friends! We want to give them the opportunity to some respite from their caring role. All young carers who are registered can come along and take part in a number of varied activities such as sports, arts and crafts, cooking, games and so much more! They will all be offered juice and a free bag of crisps but we also have started up a tuck shop so if they would like any sweets, chocolate or pop they can buy them and all profits go back into the service for further trips and activities.

What to Bring With You?

Please ensure each Young Carer attending the after school respite group arrives with:

• A Coat (We may go outside or to a nearby park or outside to play sports)
• Clothing you don’t mind getting dirty (We often have an art and craft session which can include paint)
• Sensible Footwear (We may head into the sports hall for some games)
• Pocket money (if they would like to buy any extra snacks from the tuck shop)

Mobile Phones

We do not permit mobile phones at this after school group. If a Young Carer arrives with a mobile phone they will be asked switch the power off and keep it in their bag. If this is not possible then a member of staff may keep it safe until the end of the session.
